Stone Sour adalah band alternative metal / hard rock dari Des Moines, Iowa, Amerika Serikat. Band ini didirikan oleh Corey Taylor, juga vokalis dari Slipknot , dan mantan drummer Joel Ekman.

Sebenarnya band ini bukan band baru, terbentuk 1992 dimana Corey Taylor & James Root mengawali karir mereka. kemudian mereka berdua cabut dan membentuk slipknot. Tahun 2002 lalu mereka membangkitkan band lama dengan Josh Rend (guitars), Sean Economaki (bass) dan merekrut personel baru Joel Ekman untuk mengisi drum. Dibawah bendera Roadrunner mereka menelorkan album baru yang salah satu lagunya dijadikan soundtrack spiderman. Uniknya Stone Sour & Slipknot sama-sama dinominasikan dalam BEST METAL PERFORMANCE.
