Los Angeles - Setelah single terbarunya, The Negative One mendapat banyak pujian dari penggemar, band beraliran nu metal asal Amerika Serikat, Slipknot akhirnya resmi merilis videoklip resmi sebagai pelengkap dari single terbaru mereka tersebut.

Sama sekali tak menampilkan para personel  di  dalamnya,  videoklip yang diluncurkan di situs  video YouTube itu menampilkan berbagai tampilan seram lewat perawakan sesosok wanita serta beberapa ritual yang melibatkan darah dan sebagainya.

Di luar videonya, lagu yang ditampilkan juga boleh dibilang tak kalah keras dengan apa yang  pernah mereka lakukan  di  empat  album terdahulu.

Dan rencananya, pada akhir tahun mendatang, band yang kini beranggotakan tujuh orang itu bakal  segera meluncurkan album kelima  yang konon  bakal menjelma jadi album terbaik Slipknot.  "Lagu-lagu terbaru  kami akan membuat kalian gila,"  janji Corey Taylor.  Penasaran? Slipknot sendiri terbentuk pada 1995 silam di Des Moines, Iowa.  Lahir lewat  tangan dingin  Shawn Crahan dan Mendiang Paul Gray, band yang kerap menamai karakter mereka dengan urutan angka tersebut menjelma menjadi salah satu band metal yang paling ditakuti di dunia.

Hebatnya, berbeda dengan band yang kebanyakan beranggotakan tiga sampai tujuh personel, Slipknot justru menggebrak dengan 9 anggota tetapnya yakni:

Corey Taylor (Vokal)

Mick Thomson (Gitar 1)

Jim Root (Gitar 2)

Craig Jones (Keyboardis)

Shawn Crahan (Perkusionis)

Chris Fehn (Perkusionis 2)

Sid Wilson (DJ)

Paul Gray (Bass) - meninggal dunia pada 2010 silam.

Joey Jordison (Drum) - keluar dari band dan membentuk Scar the Martyr.

Hingga saat ini, Slipknot tercatat telah mengeluarkan 1 album indie (album Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. tahun 1996) dan 4 buah album major label yang kesemuanya laris manis di pasaran. Sebut saja Slipknot (1999), Iowa (2001), Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) (2004), dan All Hope Is Gone (2008).

Selain itu, rangkaian tur juga selalu menjadi agenda wajib mereka di setiap tahun.

Tentang ini, Corey sempat memberikan pernyataan mengenai betapa pentingnya arti tur bagi mereka. "Tur adalah salah satu cara untuk bertemu dengan jutaan maggots yang tersebar di seluruh dunia. Jika tak ada tur, mungkin band ini akan tamat." tulis Corey pada suatu waktu. sumber
